Withdrawal

My computer is broken and at the computer hospital.
I spilled hot tea on it (and myself) the other night.
Now certain keys (like e and a) don't work.
I don't know how long it will be gone.
And I might have to get a new one anyway.
I'm going through withdrawal.
I don't know how I will blog (I'm on my mom's computer right now).
I'll try to take lots of pictures and notes of all the sweet things the kid does and says.
Like today with his new watch and "target" pig (I'll explain when I have pictures).
In the meantime, I'll miss you all.
Don't forget to comment so I know you still love me :)

xoxo,
AHC

Of course we still love you? Have you considered getting a regular keyboard? Not so convenient in bed, but good at you desk.

Where there is a will, there is a way. We'll take blog posts with no pictures. Otherwise, we'll have withdrawal, too.

I thought you had been rather quiet. Your missing letters reminds me of an episode of Gilmore Girls where Rory was doing a story on this secret society and they couldn't say any words with "e" in them. Now, "e" and "a" would be a little harder to do without.

That must be frustrating! I had a friend that spilled coffee on his laptop and thought it was done for, he tried cleaning it and sending it off to a professional, but it still wouldn't work. He gave up on it and gave it to a little kid in the hall to play pretend with. A few months later the kid came up to him all excited that it worked perfectly, he said the best part was once it warmed up it smelled like coffee! I guess it just needed a while to dry out!

This is more a comment in response to drevas' comment. Have you read Ella Minnow Pea? It's a clever novel where the people in the town of the man who wrote the sentence "The quick brown fox jumped over the lazy dog" erect a statue honoring him. (This sentence uses ever letter of the alphabet and is frequently used in typing classes.) The sentence encircles the base of the statue and, as the letters start to fall off, the townspeople think they are supposed to stop using that letter. When they can't utter it or write with them, the book's author (Mark Dunn) stops using it, too. It's very well written and cleverly conceived. Find it, borrow it, read it.
