Allen went to his two-year checkup this morning. He loves going to the doctor, and really has no fear associated with it, despite the fact that every checkup till now has included shots. He went right over to join another patient at the toys. She seemed a little bit older and a lot quieter, but after Allen stuck his face right under hers and said, "Hi" about six times, she finally responded in kind.
He was excited to get weighed again like a big boy, although he may have been distracted by the idea that he was getting a "pop" (lollipop) since when he goes to Mommy's doctor with her he always gets one. He weighed in at 27 1/2 pounds and 34 3/4 inches tall. His head size circumference is 19 inches. What that all means is that he is a little bit tall for his age, and perfectly normal when it comes to weight and head circumference.
Lungs sound good; ears look good; reflexes are excellent. He passed all of the milestones on the checklist with flying colors. He was an excellent patient overall, sitting quietly for Dr. Martin during the whole (brief) exam.
Since they now have the flu mist vaccine, he didn't even have get stuck for that vaccine! Just a couple sprays up the nose. And he was free to go until he's three-years-old (or until he gets sick).
That's all for now ... I'll try to post more this weekend, but things will be hectic with Aunt Missy (aka Fishy) here. XOXO
